Magda Morton received her PhD in Pharmacology from King’s College, London under the supervision of Dr. Nigel Shankley of The James Black Foundation. She continued her training by completing a post-doc at Johnson & Johnson, San Diego before being employed as a full-time scientist in the Department of Internal Medicine. During her time at J&J, Dr. Morton was involved in the identification of novel therapeutics for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, pancreatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, reflux disease and anemia. Subsequently, Dr. Morton relocated to Centocor to expand her work in the clinical development of therapeutics and was an author and editor of IBs, INDs, BLAs, CSRs and responses to questions from health authorities. In addition, Dr. Morton is an ad-hoc reviewer for scientific journals including the British Journal of Pharmacology and Molecular Pharmacology. Currently, Dr. Morton resides in the Bay Area where she works full-time as a freelance author and consultant via PharmacaLogic.
